Episode #36: The Spy Who Dumped Me
Tuesday Aug 07, 2018
Tuesday Aug 07, 2018
Welcome film buffs to another incredible amazing stupendous episode of the Reel Film Nerds Podcast! I spy with my little eye our latest review, The Spy Who Dumped Me. A great action filled comedic buddy film! Matt and Mike were surprised at how much they liked this film. Mike does it again and throws gasoline on the MoviePass fire really getting Matt going since he had to pay to see this movie. The guys then touch a bit on the recent firing of James Gunn by Disney over really old tweets and they agree that it is a bad move. Of course this opens the door for Matt to talk about Star Wars specifically can’t Solo: A Star Wars Story and its flop. They continue off topic for a bit discussing Ron Howard and how many amazing movies he has directed.
The Spy Who Dumped Me is a really fun slap sticky comedy that is definitely worth a watch. Mila Kunis did a fantastic job and Matt would not mind her becoming one of his future ex-wives. Kate McKinnon rained her acting in a bit and really delivered a superb performance. Matt gives The Spy Who Dumped Me 3.5 out of 5 Reels. Mike enjoyed the film even more then Matt if you can believe it! He rarely best’s Matt’s rating but he did! He gives it a 4 out of 5 Reels! This buddy movie was fun and a little raunchy which was fine with us.

Episode #35: Tributary - Anon
Thursday Aug 02, 2018
Thursday Aug 02, 2018
Welcome listeners new and old (not physically) to our first Tributary cast! A Tributary cast is a review of a movie only available on a streaming service such as Netflix, HBO Go, Amazon Prime, etc. This week Matt and Mike review a Netflix original Sci-Fi thriller Anon. It is a fun trippy technology filled look into a dystopian future where privacy flat out doesn’t exist. The guys dive deep on this topic, they both love tech but also see the coming storm and the end of privacy or what little we have left. They also discuss augmented reality versus virtual reality and how close they are to becoming everyday tech. Mike gets Matt going again about the death of MoviePass especially with their developments, price changes, and lack of blockbuster films new releases. Things continue off topic for a bit with chat about TCL televisions, Roku vs Apple TV vs Fire Stick, and what is the best device to stream movies on. Last but not least they guys discuss their new partnership with Prescott Valley based news organization SignalsAZ.com and how you can where you can find our podcast on their site.
Anon is a must-see thriller if you are into detective movies and technology. Clive Owen and Amanda Seyfried do a fantastic job. The sets are dark and gritty and the graphic overlays are just amazing! Matt loved this movie he gives it 4 out of 5 Reels. Mike enjoyed the film as well but like always he is more critical then Matt. He gives Anon 3.5 out of 5 Reels.

Episode #34: Mission: Impossible - Fallout
Tuesday Jul 31, 2018
Tuesday Jul 31, 2018
Your mission if you choose to accept it is to listen to this podcast then rate and review the Reel Film Nerds on iTunes! Anything to get a response out of our listeners, right? This week Matt and Mike review the latest Tom Cruise action flick Mission: Impossible - Fallout. It is a fun fast paced action movie with incredible practical effects and amazing stunts. The guys get off topic as they always do and discuss the continued slide of MoviePass with a dash of John Travolta and his airplane collection. Did Henry Cavill really have to have a mustache for this film and ruin a part of Justice League because of it, or does he just have a hard time growing facial hair? Lastly they get into their personal blu-ray collections and what they have bought in the bargain bins lately such as Big Trouble in Little China a classic and probably upcoming Legacy Cast!
Mike and Matt agree that Mission: Impossible – Fallout is a great popcorn action movie. It is a must see in a theater and worth your hard-earned money. If you can believe it the guys agreed on a rating again! They both give Mission: Impossible – Fallout 3.5 out of 5 Reels.

Episode #33: Legacy – Jaws
Thursday Jul 26, 2018
Thursday Jul 26, 2018
Welcome to a very special Legacy Cast! Today Matt and Mike talk about Jaws in honor of the Discovery Channel’s 30th annual Shark Week!! Jaws is one of Mike’s favorite movies of all time, but he is bias due to his love of sharks. Matt lets Mike take the lead on this episode but asks him a lot of fun interesting questions. The boys also discuss the differences between a horror movie and a thriller at least in their eyes. There is lots of fun trivia discussed including the name of the Jaws prop shark and its relation to Finding Nemo. Lastly was Mike able to keep the Marvel Cinematic Universe streak alive even with a movie made in 1975?
I am not sure we even need to tell you our ratings for Jaws, but we are going to anyways. Mike loves Jaws without a question. It is probably his second most watch film. He hands out his second perfect score with a 5 out of 5 Reels. Matt also loves Jaws a lot, but he can’t get over how the shark looks. Clearly, he has been spoiled with the recent developments in digital and practical effects. Matt still loves the film and gives it a very respectable 4.5 out of 5 Reels. Basically, if you have not seen Jaws you need to go watch it, NOW!

Episode #32: The Equalizer 2
Tuesday Jul 24, 2018
Tuesday Jul 24, 2018
Are you ready to get equalized? Yes, then we have a treat for you today with our review of The Equalizer 2! Matt gets off topic by talking about Denzel Washington and his Prescott connection. That turns into a talk about guns then they both go full off topic and profess their love for Denzel Washington. Who doesn’t love him right? He has made some amazing movies! Basically, your hosts spent half the podcast talking about Denzel and their favorite movies of his. What I am trying to say here is if you don’t like Denzel Washington just skip this podcast.
Finally we get a movie that is not absolute crap! It feels like a month of just bad movies for us. Matt and Mike really liked The Equalizer 2. It is a fun sequel that is a great standalone film too. The ending is not great and the pacing of the film is awkward but for the most par this is really a great movie! Mike gives The Equalizer 2 a respectable 3 out of 5 Reels. Matt is nowhere near as harsh as Mike is when it comes to ratings especially for his boy Denzel. He gave the film 4 out of 5 Reels.
Thank you for subscribing and listening to our podcast! Don’t forget to check out this Thursday’s Legacy Cast in honor of the 30th annual Shark Week with our review of the original summer blockbuster Jaws!!!

Episode #31: Skyscraper
Thursday Jul 19, 2018
Thursday Jul 19, 2018
WOW, 31 episodes and we are still going? Why? This week Mike and Matt discuss another bad movie you should not go see, Skyscraper staring The Rock “Dwayne” Johnson. The boys talk about their love of Die Hard and why it is a Christmas movie no matter what Bruce Willis says! They also discuss how Skyscraper blatantly ripped it off without question. Was Mike able to keep his Marvel Cinematic Universe streak alive, of course! There is also even more talk about the unlimited movie services such as MoviePass, AMC A-List, and Cinemark Movie Club. There is no rant on this one just a regular review of a bad movie.
Matt and Mike both found this movie to be nothing special. It was boring, a giant copy of great movies, a bad story, (seeing a pattern here?) just to name a few of its issues. Mike gives Skyscraper a 2 out of 5 Reels. Matt rated it a little bit higher (purely based on seeing hottie Neve Campbell on the big screen again) with a 2.5 out of 5 Reels.
Thank you for subscribing and listening to our podcast! We will talk at you next Tuesday with our review of The Equalizer 2. Don’t forget we will be doing a special Legacy Cast a week from today in honor of the 30th annual Shark Week by Discovery Channel with the original summer blockbuster Jaws!!!

Episode #30: The First Purge
Tuesday Jul 17, 2018
Tuesday Jul 17, 2018
Welcome to our 30th episode and review of The First Purge. Matt and Mike get into it a bit especially how political they saw the film. Acting was great but the story just flat out is another Purge movie. The writer really dropped the ball on what could have been a great and interesting start to the annual Purge but nope.
Here is your warning people this is a long pod a bit over an hour, if you just tuned in to hear our review of The First Purge stop listening around the 40 minute mark. Matt really goes off on a rant and Mike joins in for a bit. He does give you lots of fair warning though. Topics start to include drones, MoviePass’s new peak pricing, and the gents first R rated movie to name a few. Matt focuses though and begins his rant on bad movie goers and really bad parenting then explains why he will never breed or get married. Who knows maybe you will get a kick out of it so listen anyways.
Mike and Matt both were disappointed with The First Purge and do not recommend you to go see it unless Purge movies are your thing. Mike loves the idea of the Purge and has enjoyed the films in the past but this one was just not up to snuff, he rated it 2.5 Reels out of 5. Matt likes the Purge films but is not a huge fan of them he just really wanted a great story and this movie did not deliver, he rates The First Purge 2 Reels out of 5. Thank you again for your continued support and we will chat at you this Thursday with our review of Skyscraper!

Episode #29: Won't You Be My Neighbor?
Thursday Jul 12, 2018
Thursday Jul 12, 2018
Welcome everyone to the Reel Film Nerds podcast! Today’s review is a special one for both your hosts, Won't You Be My Neighbor? Matt and Mike grew up glued to their television sets watching Mister Rogers and his many lessons. They have been talking about wanting to see this biopic since it came out back in January 2018 and now they have a chance. As difficult as it was Mike was able to tie Won't You Be My Neighbor? to the Marvel Cinematic Universe you will have to listen to find out how.
Mike and Matt both loved this film without question. Matt has a hard time understanding why it is life changing and extremely popular right now. It is a very good film about an amazing man who touched the lives of millions. Mike learned a lot about Mister Rogers and some of the controversies surrounding him that neither of the hosts knew about. Matt really tried as hard as he could not to find a problem with this film, but he did anyways. He really wishes they would have discussed Fred Rogers’ home life more then they did. At the end of the show he tries to explain the Navy SEALS rumor and does a terrible job at it probably offending lots of people. Only time will tell.
I guess it is not a rare occasion anymore since this is now 2 pods in a row but your hosts agreed on the rating. Mike and Matt both give Won't You Be My Neighbor? 4 out of 5 Reels. It is an incredible biography that is a must watch, you just don’t have to see it in the theater. Won't You Be My Neighbor? will probably be on PBS or Netflix by the end of the year try to catch it then.
We apologize for some of the audio issues in this episode. Matt tried to clean up Mike’s audio the best he could but there is still a lot of background noise. Thank you for subscribing and listening to our podcast! We will talk at you next Tuesday with our review of The First Purge.

Episode #28: Ant-Man and the Wasp
Tuesday Jul 10, 2018
Tuesday Jul 10, 2018
Welcome everyone to a new episode of the Reel Film Nerds that you aren’t going to listen to! Today your hosts are talking about the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film Ant-Man and the Wasp! Mike and Matt don’t really get off topic much on this review. Is this the start of them becoming serious reviewers? Doubtful! No MCU tie-in for this episode either since Ant-Man and the Wasp is in the MCU!
Matt and Mike both really enjoyed Ant-Man and Wasp. Matt like always has a few nitpicky things he talks about but for the most part really enjoyed it especially the comedic aspects. Mike really liked the film as well but did not think it did anything above and beyond your typical MCU flick. They both enjoyed the original Ant-Man more than this sequel. Guess what we have one of those rare occasions where your hosts actually agreed on a rating! Mike and Matt both give Ant-Man and the Wasp 3.5 out of 5 Reels. It is a fun hilarious family action film that is worth a watch in the theaters. Thank you for subscribing and listening to our podcast! We will talk at you Thursday with our review of Won’t You Be My Neighbor?

Episode #27: Legacy - Spaceballs
Thursday Jul 05, 2018
Thursday Jul 05, 2018
Welcome moviephiles to new episode of the Reel Film Nerds! Today we have an amazing Legacy Cast for you, Spaceballs!! This movie was requested by Matt’s buddy and co-worker Derek Nanke, thanks Derek for the request! Right off the bat things start to get crazy in this pod! Matt talks about his dad taking him to see Spaceballs in the theater as a kid. He also talks about Star Wars probably too much but how you can not right Spaceballs is 95% of a rip on Star Wars! Mike explains where his obsession with male genitalia came from and how much fun he had watching this movie. Matt typically watches it at least once a year but Mike has not seen Spaceballs in a very long time! Sit back relax and grab a big glass of water to help with your 4th of July hangover because this is a long pod, almost a full hour!
Clearly Matt and Mike both love this movie without question. Mike loved it a teensy bit more than Matt probably because he has not seen Spaceballs as an adult! Mike hands out the very first perfect rating in the history of the Reel Film Nerds with a 5 out of 5 Reels!!! Matt loves Spaceballs without question but he does not think it is perfect, damn close but not perfect. He gives Spaceballs a 4.5 out of 5 Reels. Thank you for subscribing and listening to our podcast! We will talk at you next Tuesday with another Reel Film Nerds movie review!

Episode #26: Sicario: Day of the Soldado
Tuesday Jul 03, 2018
Tuesday Jul 03, 2018
Welcome friends to the latest Reel Film Nerds podcast! This week Matt and Mike talk about Sicario: Day of the Soldado. They start out with some fun and interesting updates related to the podcast before getting into the review. We were reviewed by Dave Jackson from the School of Podcasting. You can read his notes and listen to his podcast on us at Podcast Rodeo Show. Do you agree with Dave’s assessment? Let us know what you think especially if there is something you think we need to improve or that we are doing right.
Matt continues being off topic talking about how you can now listen to our podcast on your Amazon Echo using the Alexa Any Pod skill. Once the skill is installed all you have to say is "Alexa, open AnyPod." After the greeting, say "Play Reel Film Nerds" and your Echo will play the latest episode of the Reel Film Nerds! Pretty awesome right?
Mike and Matt both love the original Sicario and agree that it did not need a sequel but we got one anyways. Mike really did not like this movie no matter how much fun Matt has saying Soldado over and over. Matt thought it was passable until the third act of the film. It just gets weird and starts to fall apart. The acting was great, the sets were ok, the cinematography is decent, but the story was just really bad. Mike gives Sicario: Day of the Soldado a 2 out of 5 Reels and suggests no one go see it in the theaters unless you have Movie Pass. Matt enjoyed the film more than Mike until the end and it ruined the entire movie for him. He gives it a 3.5 out of 5 Reels and strongly suggests if you do want to see it to watch the original first.

Episode #25: Tag
Thursday Jun 28, 2018
Thursday Jun 28, 2018
Welcome back faithful listeners. Tag you’re it! In Episode 25 Matt and Mike discuss Tag a fun and entertaining summer comedy. Matt brings up how this movie reminded him of his childhood friends including Mysterious Mike. Mostly he misses the camaraderie especially being a lonely old man in his late 30’s. Mike talks about a prank that goes maybe a little too far in the film and discusses his upcoming nuptials. Also find out how one lucky cast member breaks both his arms in a stunt gone wrong and what they did to remedy the problem. Mike and Matt both enjoy this movie it is leaps and bounds better than its piss poor trailer. The guys finish the podcast talking about the possible end of movie theaters thanks to digital downloads.
Mike and Matt both enjoyed Tag Matt just enjoyed it a lot more, he loves comedies. Mike gave it 3 Reels out of 5 and thinks it is not a must watch film but might make a good rental or streaming watch. Matt liked Tag a lot. He gave it just a tad higher rating with 4 out of 5 Reels and thinks it’s a nice change from the typical summer popcorn flick. Thank you for listening and next week we are reviewing Sicario: Day of the Soldado and doing a really fun Legacy Cast of Spaceballs!!

Episode #24: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom
Tuesday Jun 26, 2018
Tuesday Jun 26, 2018
Wow do we have an amazing episode for you. The movie we reviewed was crap but Matt and Mike still put out some great pod! This week the boys review Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Spoiler alert it sucked and not because Starlord selfishly started to wail on Thanos…… ok better stop before I spoil too much. Topics this week also include cheese, the Beatles, collecting vinyl records from family members who think they are dying, and an important one AMC’s new Moviepass like service and how Moviepass again is screwing over their customers. Sit back relax grab your favorite alcoholic laced beverage (believe me it helps while listening) and enjoy a longish episode of the Reel Film Nerds!
Mike and Matt both thought Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom overpromised and under produced. Both of them being big Jurassic Park fans especially Mike they were let down mostly on the story. The CGI was great and dinosaurs eating people is always fun especially when you are having a bad day but it just wasn’t enough to merit a good rating. We have the rare agreed rating of 2.5 Reels out of 5 Reels for both of our hosts. Thank you again for your continued support and we will chat at you this Thursday with our review of Tag!

Episode #23: Hereditary
Thursday Jun 21, 2018
Thursday Jun 21, 2018
Welcome everyone to your second episode of the week! In this show Matt and Mike discuss A24 studios latest modern horror flick Hereditary. Matt discusses his angst for the horror genre, he does not hate it, but he does not seek out that genre of film either. Mike talks about why he loves Hereditary and some other great newer horror movies. For once we do not have too many spoilers because it would take away from the movie’s feel and scariness. Matt brings up his love for Sci-Fi and a new show on AMC, James Cameron’s Story of Science Fiction that he thinks any Sci-Fi fan should watch now! Mike ends the podcast on a high note by bringing up his obsession with male genitalia in movies and boy there is lots in this movie!
Both our hosts thought Hereditary was well done with great acting, good cinematography, and amazing sets. Mike gives Hereditary a 4 out of 5 Reels. Matt enjoyed it but still horror is not one of his favorite forms of cinema, so I am sure that factored in for his rating. He gave it a 3 out of 5 Reels. Thanks for listening and we will chat at you next Tuesday!

Episode #22: Incredibles 2
Tuesday Jun 19, 2018
Tuesday Jun 19, 2018
Hi everyone! Welcome to episode 22! Yep that’s right 22!!! WOW! Matt and Mike discuss Pixar and Disney’s latest animated flick Incredibles 2. They also dive deep into the villain’s name and the connotations the writer is implying with it. Matt actually loves a baby in this movie! I know right the man who swears he will never breed or date again and his favorite character of the film is Jack Jack, it’s a crazy world people! Mike talks about the lack of smart adult hidden jokes versus other Pixar films in Incredibles 2. He then expresses his love for Finding Nemo for obvious reasons. Spoiler alert Mike is always trying to be a fish on the weekends when he is not working.
Mike and Matt both found this movie to be mediocre. The story is ok but not great, the art style is very good as always, and #JackJack4Life as Matt proclaims. Mike gives Incredibles 2 a 3 out of 5 Reels. Matt echoes his rating with a 3.5 out of 5 Reels. Thanks for listening and we will chat at you on Thursday!

Spoiler alert, Mike and Matt both love this movie and have seen it many times! Pay special attention to Matt’s random facts about this movie and find out about an interesting 80’s star who was originally cast as the Predator. The guys also discuss many of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s classic quotes like “Get to the Chopper.” Mike continues his rein of connecting our reviewed films to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Matt brings up an interesting topic of could this movie be made today and it is now a new segment for our Legacy Cast’s. Lastly the boys talk about the political correctness of society today along with snapdicks and tacograms! What an episode!
Mike loves Predator like the child he never had and gives it a 4.5 out of 5 Reels. Matt tried to keep nostalgia out of his rating and just go by the film’s merits and awarded it a 4 out of 5 Reels.

Tuesday Jun 12, 2018
Hi everybody! Welcome to another installment of the Reel Film Nerds! If you stop reading here we understand this week’s movie is a giant let down. Our review this week is Hotel Artemis and boy is it a load of crap. The trailer, the cast, and the action looked amazing but as you can tell it is not a good movie. Go ahead and listen to the podcast anyways Matt and Mike explain why it is so bad. We also talk about our next reviews coming up and a whole bunch of other fun stuff. It is too bad the idea of this movie was really cool too.
Mike and Matt both were disappointed in this film. The acting was great, the sets were well done, and the premise was great, but they story just flat out sucked. Mike gave Hotel Artemis a 2 out of 5 Reels and Matt gave it a similar rating with 2.5 Reels. Thank you again for listening and we will chat at you real soon!

Wednesday Jun 06, 2018
Check it out everyone it’s another Legacy Cast!! For those of you keeping score at home this is our second one. Mr. Mile High Show is nowhere to be found for this episode so Matt and Mike actually talked about the movie instead of photography. Shaun of the Dead, an incredible cross genre film, was requested by one of our faithful listeners Christine thank you for the suggestion and emailing us. Mike comes up with a fun drinking game to play with friends while watching this film and his Marvel Cinematic Universe streak continues! Matt like always talks way too much and gets off topic way too much. Sit back relax and grab a pint at the ol’ Winchester and enjoy our review of Shaun of the Dead!
Mike and Matt both really love this movie. It is a groundbreaking must see genre bending film. Believe it or not but they actually gave the same rating for Shaun of the Dead wow! It gets 4.5 out of 5 Reels from both our hosts!

The few responses we got back were 100% unanimous, yes! Well you want it you got it more shows start now. Remember our reviews are SPOILER RIDDEN! This week your two hosts Matt and Mike discuss a hardcore Sci-Fi thriller tech dystopian future film titled Upgrade. The hosts discuss the new twice weekly format along with more legacy casts too. They get off on multiple tangents especially about tech, bio-hacking and the future. Mike blindsides Matt with his Marvel Cinematic Universe tie in and it leads to a discussion about Spiderman: Homecoming of course. Sit back relax shake up a margarita and enjoy our review of Upgrade!
Mike was surprised by Upgrade going into the film not know what to expect and loving it. He gave it 4 out of 5 Reels. Matt enjoyed the film but not as much as Mike especially how the technology really relates to what’s going on in the world today. He gave Upgrade a 3.5 out of 5 Reels. Thanks again for listening to our little show and we will chat at you on Wednesday, remember 2 shows now. Monday and Wednesday at 10am Arizona MST.

Episode #17: Solo: A Star Wars Story
Wednesday May 30, 2018
Wednesday May 30, 2018
Welcome back nerd herd for another installment of the Reel Film Nerds podcast. This week Matt and Mike discuss the latest release in the Star Wars franchise, Solo: A Star Wars Story. Remember our reviews are SPOILER RIDDEN! Matt goes into a bit of depth on how one of the biggest reveals of the film is canon. Mike doesn’t talk much because let’s face it he is not enough of a Star Wars nerd to really get into this film. They both discuss their theories on why it is flopping at the box office compared to previous Star Wars films. Mike nails this installment of how this movie relates to the Marvel Cinematic Universe especially since it was crazy easy. Matt points out a big connection that he missed to the MCU. Sit back relax crack open a cold beer and enjoy our review of Solo: A Star Wars Story!
Matt really enjoyed Solo and was pleasantly surprised it was so good. He gave it 4 out of 5 Reels. Solo had its flaws but Matt still really enjoyed it and hopes they don’t make a sequel. He does sleep, eat, and breathe Star Wars though so take that into consideration. Mike liked Solo as well just not as much as the nerd in Reel Film Nerds. He thought it was a great action flick but it is not a must see movie for him. He gave Solo a 3 out of 5 Reels. Thank you again for listening and we will chat at you next week!

Wednesday May 23, 2018
Wednesday May 23, 2018
Hi everybody! Boy do we have a fun movie review for you this week. Remember our reviews are SPOILER RIDDEN! This week your two hosts Matt and Mike discuss the latest super hero or shall we say anti-super hero movie Deadpool 2! Matt goes off about things he did not like specifically X-Force and quite a few things he really did enjoy even though he is biased as hell since Deadpool is his favorite comic book character. Mike is giddy like a school girl especially for parts of the film that have to do with male anatomy. He also has the easiest Marvel Cinematic Universe tie in ever next to reviewing a MCU movie. Sit back relax crack open a cold beer and enjoy our review of Deadpool 2!
Mike loved Deadpool 2 and thinks everyone should go out and see it right now! He gave it 4 out of 5 Reels. Matt enjoyed Deadpool 2 but was disappointed overall even though Deadpool is his favorite comic book character by far. He gave Deadpool 2 3.5 out of 5 Reels, explain that one. Episode #15: Rampage
Wednesday May 16, 2018
Wednesday May 16, 2018
Welcome back nerds and nerdettes! In episode 15 Matt and Mike review the video game based movie Rampage. No one wrote in like always to suggest what we review this week so Mike picked Rampage based on his love obsession with The Rock. Matt gives a little insight about how the film relates to the 1986 video game that he loved, and the movie is based on. Mike talks a little bit about his favorite hobby scuba and why Rampage is a good popcorn movie.
Mike liked Rampage but not that much and gave it 2 out of 5 Reels. Matt really did not like Rampage as whole but did enjoy a few parts and characters. For some reason Mike enjoyed this film more than Matt but Matt’s rating is higher at 2.5 out of 5 Reels, explain that one. Thank you again for listening and we will chat at you next week!

Episode #14: Isle of Dogs
Wednesday May 09, 2018
Wednesday May 09, 2018
Welcome back faithful listener! This week Mike and Matt discuss Wes Anderson’s latest film Isle of Dogs. Matt right off the bat drops the ball and calls himself Mike. It only goes downhill from there for Matt especially his cussing. He turns it up to an 11 on this episode, sorry Mom maybe don’t listen to this one. Mike brings some wacky facts to the table about the film and tries his best to stay awake. This week is a slow one in the theaters. What would you like to hear Matt and Mike review, Rampage, Bad Samaritan, or a legacy cast of The Rock. Email, Instagram, Facebook, or Tweet us what you would like to hear reviewed. Don’t forget our podcast is always and we do mean always spoiler ridden.
Mike enjoyed Isle of Dogs and gave it a 3 out of 5 Reels. Matt really enjoyed it more than Mike even though some snot nosed kid next to him wouldn’t shut up the whole damn time! He gave it 4 out of 5 Reels, Matt not the snot nosed kid. He probably hated it. See you next week!

Mike loved it too just as much as Matt but you all know the truth he is no where near as big a nerd so ratings aren't everything. Mike also gave it 4.5 out of 5 Reels! I think this is the first time in the history of Reel Film Nerds that our host's ratings match, SWEET!

Episode #12: Little Pink House
Friday Apr 27, 2018
Friday Apr 27, 2018
WARNING our podcasts are SPOILER RIDDEN!! Welcome to a super special bonus episode of the Reel Film Nerds! Matt was invited by his good buddy Mr. Mile High Show, Matt Santos to a special screening of the independent film Little Pink House at the Prescott Valley Harkins 14. Mike was not able to make the screening for obvious reasons. This is the first solo cast for Matt so go easy on him. Little Pink House is an incredible film that you really should see. If you want more information on the film, please visit the Little Pink House Facebook page. No Marvel Cinematic Universe on this one folks, sorry. It is Mike’s segment and Matt might make him figure out it out next week when we review Avengers: Infinity War! This is a quick podcast at 15 minutes so give it a listen you will enjoy it.
Matt loved Little Pink House and gave it 4 out of 5 Reels. The acting was amazing, the sets were spot on, and the story is incredible!! The cinematography was lacking in his eyes and he wanted more backstory on some of the characters in the film. Moral of this review is to go out and see this movie now!
